Welcome to Penny Prudent!
Penny Prudent was born out of need. While searching the internet for ways to save money, I would often come across such as advice as "Turn out the lights when you leave the room," or "Use coupons." Good advice? Absolutely. But I was looking for something a little more substantial. Plus, I'm a freebie freak. It's a bit of a thrill to find a new way to save some money and watch my bills go down (and my savings up).
When I find a way to help save you money, I'll post it here. What I won't do is post recipes, etc. For instance, I'll guide you to a page with a laundry detergent recipe, instead of posting the recipe here. The biggest reason for this is simple: I want to be fair. If I'm using someone's recipe, they deserve the credit, and the traffic. In addition, I'm hoping that this policy will help keep Penny Prudent a clean and simple place to find money-saving ideas.
